Typical protection configuration with self-healing functionality for a super-large urban distribution network
A resilient and intelligent distribution network is an essential component of the construction of a new power system. In recent years, Shanghai, as an international mega-city, has undertaken comprehensive development in the planning and construction of its distribution network. The city has focused on establishing an interconnected distribution network, achieving dual-source power supply, and dual-loop network connections. Additionally, the self-healing control system achieves millisecond-level rapid fault isolation and automatic power restoration through relay protection, thereby realizing the self-healing of the distribution network, improving power supply reliability and enhancing hosting capacity. In response to this resilient and intelligent dual-source, dual-loop distribution network framework, this paper provides a typical relay protection configuration scheme. The proposed scheme has been practically applied in the distribution network in Shanghai, demonstrating significant engineering practicality.
