Innovative toolbox for distribution grid planning and design for enhanced hosting capacity
The increasing penetration of renewable energy and electrification of demand lead to substantial challenges for distribution grids. This, coupled with the need to increase the installed renewable capacity implies costly investments to reinforce the distribution grid. Within this scenario, the use of new grid services, such as storage or flexibility services becomes relevant to maintain the safe system operation and enhanced hosting capacity, while at lower costs.
