Key takeaways and hands-on experiences with the introduction of a local flexibility market implementation at E.ON Hungary
There are many pilot projects around Europe with the scope of flexibility. The Flex.on program is a Hungarian program led by E.ON which conceptualized and implemented a comprehensive flexibility platform. The platform covers all DSO voltage levels with particular challenges. Several Local Flexibility Platforms are developing in Europe, but there is no seen such wide scope in terms of voltage levels that Flex.on flexibility platform brought into focus. This ambitious goal meant that significant challenges had to be faced both in terms of research questions and IT development. In this paper we showcase only an LV scenario in detail due to the lack of space, although the platform handles all voltage levels in a similar manner.
