E-REDES grid flexible power solution for EV charging at residential buildings
The transition to cleaner energy and the electrification of transport has led to a significant increase in electric vehicles (EVs). Accordingly, the increasing penetration of EVs has created a demand for an expanded network of public and private EV charging stations (EVCS). This demand requires an investment in charging infrastructure and the reinforcement of the low-voltage distribution grid to meet the power demand requirements. Increasing the power capacity of the distribution grid is costly and sometimes time-consuming. Therefore, it is crucial to find solutions that can accelerate the installation of EV charging stations by using the power currently available in the grid.
