Design of Integrated Control System for Industrial Boilers Based on PCS7

This study aims to design and simulate the integrated automation and optimized control of a natural circulation boiler using the Siemens Process Control System (PCS7). The research object is the natural circulation boiler within the Synthesized Multi-function Process Control training device (SMPT-1000). By thoroughly analyzing the boiler’s process flow and based on safety requirements and process parameter demands, a comprehensive control system was designed, including Continuous Function Control (CFC) program designed for control loops, Sequential Function Chart (SFC) program designed for cold start-up and shutdown, and the Windows Control Center (WinCC) monitoring interface. The results show that the control system in this study achieved excellent control performance in many aspects, providing a practical solution for the automation control of industrial boilers.
