This paper explores the most current forms and artists working within the medium of painting, examining how the vision and perception of visuality have evolved over recent decades under the significant influence of new technological and technical advancements. It draws heavily on the so-called new or digital media. The analysis primarily focuses on artists, works, and developments within Slovakia and the Czech Republic, while engaging with and critically reflecting on the perspectives and studies of contemporary art theorists.
