The Research of Time-Varying Error Calibration Method of Three-Component Fluxgate Sensor Based on Genetic Algorithm

In this paper, we described the time-varying error calibrationmethod of the magnetic total field of the three-component fluxgate sensor based on genetic algorithm. Time-varying factors are introduced into the magnetic total field error model composed of zero offset, sensitivity errorand three-axis non-orthogonality, the ground special test data in the early stage and the data on carrier in the later stageare allocated according to the time priority function, and then the genetic algorithm is used to solve for the latest calibration parameters. Through experimentation, it has been found that using calibration parameters based on the time-varying model can decrease the peak-to-peak value of the magnetic total field error from 39.7nT to 14.6nT, which is about 2.7 times higher than using only the initial calibration parameters. It is useful for the application of three-component fluxgate sensor installed on the carrier.

Abstract

In this paper, we described the time-varying error calibrationmethod of the magnetic total field of the three-component fluxgate sensor based on genetic algorithm. Time-varying factors are introduced into the magnetic total field error model composed of zero offset, sensitivity errorand three-axis non-orthogonality, the ground special test data in the early stage and the data on carrier in the later stageare allocated according to the time priority function, and then the genetic algorithm is used to solve for the latest calibration parameters. It is useful for the application of three-component fluxgate sensor installed on the carrier.
