Impacto da Mobilidade Urbana na Gestão de Águas Pluviais

This study explores the interrelationship between urban mobility and stormwater management, proposing integrated solutions to increase the resilience of cities to flooding. The research, with a qualitative approach, combines a literature review and case studies in global and Brazilian cities, analyzing mobility and drainage infrastructures, as well as strategies for dealing with extreme climate events. The study addresses the interaction between urban mobility and water management, traditionally treated separately, and offers guidelines for integrated urban planning. In a context of accelerated urbanization and climate change, the results show that soil sealing by transport infrastructures aggravates urban flooding, and that existing drainage infrastructures are inefficient, with significant stormwater pollution. Proposals include green infrastructure, advanced stormwater management technologies, nature-based solutions and sustainable mobility policies to reduce flooding and improve the quality of urban life. Encouraging public transportation and preserving green areas are essential strategies for urban resilience, promoting a sustainable vision of urban planning.
