Research on Flow Resistance Characteristics of Turbine Flow Sensors
This study investigates the application of turbine flow sensors in small-diameter fuel pipelines, focusing on their flow resistance characteristics. An experimental platform was constructed utilizing a dual-rotor turbine flow sensor to explore the impact of fluid flow on sensor performance. Experimental results indicate that within a certain flow range, the flow resistance coefficient of turbine flow sensors in small-diameter pipelines initially increases with pressure loss and then decreases. This behavior may lead to a reduction in fuel supply pressure, adversely affecting the measurement accuracy of engine fuel consumption. Through a comprehensive analysis of experimental data under varying flow and pressure conditions, this study evaluates the effectiveness and safety of turbine flow sensors in measuring fuel consumption for aviation engines.
