Residual life prediction method for rolling bearings considering random shock effect
This study introduces a bearing residual life prediction method that accounts for the influence of random shocks, acknowledging the potential safety implications arising from the neglect of such factors. Firstly, the degradation process of the bearing is characterized using a nonlinear Wiener process, while the shock process is modeled by a Poisson process. Subsequently, leveraging the established degradation model and the concept of the first attainment time, the residual life probability density function and its approximate analytical solution are derived. Finally, the proposed method's effectiveness and practicality are validated using a bearing dataset.
