Research on reliability analysis method of stiffened panel structure based on adaptive Kriging surrogate model
Stiffened panels are fundamental elements of deep-sea floating platforms and hull structures. Analysing these panels is essential for the reliability assessment of oceanic structures. However, existing reliability analysis methods for stiffened panels often struggle to balance computational efficiency with precision in assessment. The Kriging model, known for its error estimation capabilities, is increasingly used in structural reliability analysis. Within this context, the Confidence Interval Squeezing (CIS) method emerges as a novel adaptive reliability analysis technique that swiftly enhances the accuracy of failure probability estimates. This paper explores the reliability analysis of stiffened panel structures on an actual offshore platform utilizing the CIS method. Initially, the predominant loads and failure modes of stiffened panels are delineated. Subsequently, the paper discusses structural reliability analysis methods, including the CIS approach. The CIS method is then applied to the reliability analysis of stiffened panels via two numerical examples and is benchmarked against the AK-MCS method. The findings indicate that the CIS method not only accurately estimates the failure probability of stiffened panels but also delivers a quicker computational performance.
