Study on the dynamic response of multi-physics field coupling in AC contactor electromagnetic mechanism
For an in-depth analysis of the dynamic response of the contactor's electromagnetic system, this paper initially calculates the mechanical movement and temperature field distribution of the electromagnetic mechanism by evaluating the coupling between the magnetic field and the circuit. It implements multi-physics coupling of mechanical, electrical, magnetic, and thermal fields in an indirectly coupled manner, and establishes a digital prototype model of a commercial contactor. Subsequently, the dynamic response of the AC contactor at room temperature and after multiple operations was calculated. A comparison with experimental results validated the precision of the prototype model in forecasting the dynamic behavior of AC contactors. This paper can serve as a reference for studying the dynamic response of similar contactors and provide the basis for evaluating the reliability a nd optimizing the design of AC contactors.
