Reliability modelling of a dependent system using mic and pair-copula
For the reliability modelling of a multi-components system, the dependence between components should not be overlooked. However, the embedded nonlinearity and increasing complexity hinder the application of existing system reliabili ty methods like FMEA and FTA. To fill this gap, this work proposes a novel approach for the reliability modelling of dependent systems, where the Maximal Information Coefficient (MIC) method is used to simplify the dependence modelling, followed by the development of a new dependence model called MIC-PCC using Pair-Copula. The effectiveness and generality of this method are validated through numerical examples.
