Optimization of Battery Management Systems to Enhance Efficiency and Reliability of Lithium Iron Phosphate Batteries
This article discusses the optimization of electronic control units that manage the charging and discharging processes of lithium iron phosphate batteries, widely used in the modern automotive industry and for mobile power supply needs. Given the stringent operational requirements of these batteries, including limitations on overcharging and deep discharging, the implementation of advanced battery management systems (BMS) is urgently required. This paper proposes a new approach to designing BMS electronic devices, which allows for reducing device costs, decreasing charging times, and extending battery life. It describes a number of technical solutions aimed at enhancing the accuracy of measurements and protecting batteries from unacceptable operating conditions. Test results are presented, confirming the high efficiency and reliability of the proposed solutions under operational conditions.
