Az EU 27 klímaváltozási rangsorának vizsgálata

The impact of human activities on the Earth is becoming increasingly evident. Despite significant scientific and technological advances over the past century, issues such as epidemics remain a persistent threat. This study aims to examine climate change indicators for the 27 EU Member States in order to develop composite indicators. The research objective is achieved using secondary data from Eurostat’s various climate change-related databases for the years 2017, 2019, and 2021. The results indicate that while it is feasible to create a composite indicator for climate change, measuring and ranking the performance of Member States remains challenging. Differences in economic, social, and environmental conditions among countries significantly affect their rankings and levels of development. The pandemic caused a temporary shift in emissions and greenhouse gas growth, which had a major impact on rankings, altering the previously stable positions of countries.
