La critique de l’ironie, caractéristique de l’antimoderne ? Antoine de Saint Exupéry et l’ironie des «cancres»
This article examines Antoine de Saint Exupéry's anti-modern, anti-ironic positions, whose writings castigate the irony of a suspicious attitude towards customs, ceremonial and, more generally, tradition. It proposes to identify the targets of Exupéry's criticism, these «dunces» or these «ink spitters» – Camus, Sartre, the surrealists – and to measure how this ideological tension participates in Saint Exupéry's anti-modernism (based on the work of Antoine Compagnon).
