Trends in the evaluation of energy efficiency and thermal comfort in buildings

This article summarizes a bibliometric review aimed at analyzing the behavior of contributions related to the evaluation of energy efficiency and thermal comfort in buildings (EEETCB). A review of 231 papers indexed in SCOPUS between 2004 and 2024 was carried out. The study showed that “Thermal Comfort”, “Energy Saving”, “Energy Efficiency” were the most used keywords in the papers, while words such as “HVAC”, “Indoor Air Quality”, “Energy Consumption and Conservation” are strongly interconnected. The analysis revealed that studies on EEETCB have tended to grow and that well-known journals in the fields of energy, building and environment have produced numerous publications on the subject.
