Systematic review on the state of the art of sap flow studies in tropical forests
Humid tropical forests, like all ecosystems, are a vital component of biological diversity and healthy ecosystems, offer a wide range of ecosystem services, from oxygen production and assimilation/sequestration of atmospheric carbon dioxide $\left(\mathrm{CO}_{2}\right)$, creation and stabilization of soils, watershed protection and supply of natural resources, including food, fiber, fuel, housing, and medicines, these ecosystems are very common in Panama. Due to this importance, the main objective of this research is to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the state of the art of sap flow in interurban tropical rainforests, in the last 10 years, for this purpose, keywords and search strategies were identified to obtain a selection 7 articles, from the years 2014 to 2024, from 474 articles that were previously examined.
