The Potential Contribution of Leadership to Organisational Excellence
In this paper, using classic literary analysis, the author seeks to answer the question of the relationship between organizational excellence and some of the human components of leadership (e.g. leadership style, leadership routine, attitude of the leader). The author attempts to bring together the subjective (human) and objective (market performance) variables that contribute to the measurement of excellence. The importance of human factors in long-term market success, and the extent to which leadership contributes to it, implies a complex system that is difficult to assess. On the basis of the literature reviewed, there is no standard approach to measure the impact of human (especially managerial) factors on organisational excellence.
