Common Mode Voltage Suppression Strategy for Third-Harmonic Injection Two-Stage Matrix Converter
In response to the problem of high amplitude common mode voltage (CMV) in the third harmonic injection two-stage matrix converter (3TSMC), the CMV suppression methods of active zero state PWM (AZSPWM) and near-state PWM (NSPWM) are applied to 3TSMC, which reduced the voltage amplitude of the CMV without increasing hardware. Firstly, the expression for the CMV of 3TSMC is derived, and then the suppression principle of the improved modulation algorithm is analyzed. Then, the influence of dead zone effect on the method is considered and the dead zone is compensated. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through experiments.
