Hybrid Cells with Microcontroller and Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAAs) and Their Pragmatic Electrical Engineering Applications
Anadigm is perhaps the only one of the many possible manufacturers that has been providing reliable technology for Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAAs) for decades. The company supplies a dynamic and fully configurable circuit option in the form of integrated circuits based on the principle of coupled capacitances, where the most commonly used analogue circuit elements can be designed, interconnected and parameterised. In particular, it can be used in conjunction with a microcontroller to create a so-called hybrid cell. In this case, the possibilities for integrating the analog and digital inputs and outputs into the system are greatly extended. There are many electronic applications that can use the latency of a microcontroller already in a system to reconfigure FP AAs. With hybrid cells, a very wide spectrum of environmental embedding options can be designed, so that even the criterion of robustness in a single circuit can be achieved very flexibly with such a circuit layout. In this presentation I will discuss the FPAA itself and the hybrid cell and their application possibilities.
