PERCEPTION OF ARABIC VOCABULARY LEARNING PROBLEMS
Vocabulary is the main element that needs to be emphasized in learning Arabic at the Universiti Teknologi MARA Kedah campus. The Arabic subject is a course offered every semester to students at the diploma and degree levels. Most of the students who take the subject are those who do not have basic knowledge of Arabic. Vocabulary aspects among students can be observed during the learning session and the production of assigned tasks. This gives an initial perception of the problems that arise among students from a vocabulary point of view. Therefore, this study aims to unravel the perception of Arabic vocabulary learning problems among UiTM Kedah students. This study is quantitative by using a questionnaire as the main instrument, and the data is discussed descriptively using SPSS software version 28. The results of the study show students' perceptions of vocabulary learning problems and the vocabulary learning strategies they use. The findings of the study also show a good level of awareness among students in an effort to improve the quality of Arabic vocabulary learned.
