Highly diverse emission of volatile organic compounds by Sitka spruce and determination of their emission pathways
Sitka spruce has been found to emit 74 BVOCs with piperitone (C 10 H 16 O) being the highest. Most of BVOCs originated from both biosynthetic and pooled pathways simultaneously. Standardised emissions showed that Sitka spruce is a strong BVOC emitter.
