A Features of modern victim behavio
The article makes the author’s attempt to highlight the problem of the features of victim behavior on the example of the past and present. Victimology is a relatively young discipline that studies victimhood, the causes and consequences of crime, and society’s response to victims and their needs. At present, the problems associated with it excite the public, and they become the subject of study by scientists of various scientific specialties - teachers, psychologists, sociologists and some others. The author believes that victimhood and, especially, adolescence is certainly dangerous for society in itself, but, to a much greater extent, it is dangerous because over time, since youth is such a “disadvantage” that passes very quickly, we get a society that professes tolerance and non-resistance to evil. The article concludes that in the psychological and pedagogical analysis of this social phenomenon, it is advisable to distinguish passive and active victimity, i.e. the behavior of potential and real victims of violence, and the task of the family and educational institutions is to prepare students for an active rebuff to their offenders.
