Self-supported CoWO4 nanoarrays enhance the electrochemical reduction of nitrite to ammonia

CoWO 4 nanoarrays on Ni foam can serve as an efficient electrocatalyst for the selective reduction of NO 2 − to NH 3 in neutral solution, achieving an NH 3 production rate of 18.856 mg h −1 cm −2 and a faradaic efficiency of 95.2% at −0.7 V.
