DISCURSIVE PRACTICE OF SELF-IDENTIFICATIONOF A CREATIVE PERSON IN MEDIA DISCOURSE(BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF RUSSIAN AND GERMAN LANGUAGES)

The article is devoted to the study of the linguistic nature of a set of identity phenomena: identity, identification, self-identification. The article substantiates the productivity of the discursive approach to the study of this set of concepts, and the centrality of media discourse as a source of material for identity studies is postulated. The correlation between the opposition of discursive practice and communicative strategy and the opposition of self-identification and self-presentation on the basis of pragmatic load and intensional specificity is revealed. The communicative and discursive behavior of the artist in the media environment is considered from the point of view of the specificity of the being conceptual dominant in the worldview of a creative person, as well as taking into account the influence of the interviewer’s position, which can give self-identification a reactive character. Applied to the material of interviews with contemporary artists, identification is conceptualized by the author as a discursive practice characterized by ambivalent interaction between the formation of multilevel identity in the process of self-reflection and the structuring of identity at the request of the interviewer. The model of the artist’s identity is constructed, the main sub-identities forming the professional level of the model are revealed: creative, species, genre, status, conceptual, and style. In correlation with the actualization of the elements of the model the discursive mechanisms of realization of the discursive practice of self-identification are described, which receive for this socio-cultural professional community the status of discursive rules: realization of the self-identifying formula at the expense of predication of the identifier at the deep level, detachment from stereotypes and presets of the society - self-identification through a negative predicate, refusal from exaltation (author’s modesty), focusing on the motives of self-identification. The linguistic means by means of which these discursive mechanisms are realized are revealed.
