SUFFIX UNIVERSITIES IN PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION
The article is devoted to the analysis of suffix department stores, which are one-word names that arose on the basis of one of the components of the phrase using suffixation. The author focuses on the semantics of these units and the features of functioning in the languages of professional communication. It is argued that in professional communication, suffix department stores act as a brief and capacious means for expressing special information, while they are characterized by stylistic reduction (which is associated with their use in informal situations of everyday communication of professionals). The author shows examples of suffix department stores used in various professional discourses: accounting, medical, aviation, pedagogical, sports, military, etc. Based on the analysis, the main thematic groups of department stores in the field of professional communication were identified and their composition was briefly described. It is concluded that the content of thematic groups demonstrates the anthropocentric principle of the language: the most numerous variety of department words were the names of persons, primarily -names by occupation, profession and specialty. Significant in the professional environment are department stores, acting as names of places of activity, designations of machines and mechanisms, as well as materials undergoing processing. Along with this, thematic groups of names of documents, clothes and shoes, as well as names united by communication with information, money and road operation were identified.
