DEVELOPMENT OF A MOBILE APPLICATION FOR COLLECTING DATA ON AVALANCHE SITES IN EAST KAZAKHSTAN REGION

Monitoring and forecasting requires the collection of a large amount of data from various sources: data from weather stations, satellite data, video and photographic materials, data from special sensors installed in avalanche-prone areas, etc. Although most of the data can be obtained automatically, some of the data is collected manually. To speed up the process of collecting data collected manually, a mobile application was developed as part of this study. This mobile application allows you to collect data on clouds, precipitation, windy conditions, current temperature and snow height. The collected data is recorded in the local database of the application, which allows you to accumulate data for further data transfer. Data is transferred to the shared database through the API via REST requests to the database server via an Internet connection. Thus, the developed mobile application allows you to obtain the data required for forecasting and monitoring avalanche hazards in a more operational mode, which in turn allows you to improve the quality of monitoring and forecasting avalanche hazards.
