The discussion addresses the challenges and opportunities for the sustainability of the sector, highlighting the importance of technological innovations and improvements in logistics infrastructure. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research are discussed, providing subsidies for public policies that encourage the sustainable production and export of tobacco, promoting agricultural diversification and the inclusion of small producers.
