Actor Training Methods Utilizing Poetic Rhythm and Meyerhold's Biomechanical Rhythm
This study aims to establish a theoretical foundation for actor training methods based on the rhythms of poetry and Meyerhold’s biomechanics, applying these methods in actual training processes to contribute to the field of actor training. By integrating actors' physical expression with emotional performance, this study provides an innovative methodology that enriches acting skills and broadens the scope of practical performance. The composition of this paper is as follows. Chapter 1 covers the theoretical background on the role of poetry rhythm and biomechanical rhythm in actor training. Chapter 2 delves into the principles of Meyerhold’s biomechanical movement and rhythm. Chapter 3 proposes specific training methods combining poetry and biomechanical movement, examining their applicability to actor training. Finally, Chapter 4 discusses the significance of the research findings and provides conclusions and recommendations for future research and practical applications in actor training. This study is significant in that it presents a new actor training method by introducing and integrating the rhythms of poetry and biomechanics. It is hoped that this training method will be widely adopted to assist many actors who struggle with the simultaneous performance of emotional acting and physical expression.
