Testing Methodologies for Military-Grade Ceramics and Polymers
High-temperature resistant materials (HTRMs) are essential components of defense materials, which are required to maintain structural and functional integrity even in extreme environments. Among these, ceramics are widely used for military applications due to their high heat resistance and oxidation resistance, while polymers are utilized due to their lightweight and processability. Standardized testing methods for these materials are crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of HTRMs, and are essential for performance prediction, material selection, and quality control in military equipment. This study aims to contribute to the development and application of high-temperature resistant materials for military use by suggesting standardized test methods for ceramics and polymers.
