A Study on Standardization Methods for Workflow of AI-based System for Evacuation Planning Support for Building Fire Safety Manager

In this study, it was developed that an AI-based evacuation safety assessment system to support the fire safety manager's planning of egress safety on fire. This web-based system makes it easier to perform and view the results of evacuation safety evaluations, which require highly specialized knowledge and experience, by artificial intelligence. The system is composed of AI expert systems and generative AI systems. To develop the system, the stages and flow of work evaluated by experts were first established. Then, the parts where generative AI interventions would be applied were identified. The prototype of this system was developed. The standardization of the stages and flow of the tasks performed by existing experts, as well as the parts where AI is used in each element, is deemed possible. The development of standards is considered necessary to improve the reliability of similar systems that will be developed in the future. Furthermore, it is considered feasible to establish standards for the procedures and content of AI-based evacuation assessments through domestic and international standardization organizations.
