“DIALOGUE” WITH BIRDS AND OTHER NON-HUMANS:AN ANTHROPOMORPHIC ESSAY
Birds are not a frequent guest on the pages of philosophical essays. At the same time, on a symbolic level, birds entered the human worldview system as a sign of wisdom (owl), goodness (dove) or love (swans). The article presents an attempt to rethink the figure of a bird. Together with aliens and digital actants, the bird is recorded as a participant in a “dialogue” with humans. Such a system implements the rejection of anthropocentric logic, which elevates a human being above all other elements of living and nonliving things. It has been replaced by an anthropo-morphistic attitude, in which a person remains the one who initiates the research intention, but does not rise above the others, in the comprehension of which, in turn, anthropomorphism is allowed. From here, birds from silent units hovering above our heads become “humble mentors” for humans.
