TAX REFORMS AND THEIR IMPACT ON ATTRACTING INVESTMENTS IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC
This study investigates the impact of tax reforms on investment attraction in the Kyrgyz Republic by analyzing key changes, such as tax incentives, simplified taxation procedures, and business support measures. Despite significant tax revenue growth from to 2019-2023, foreign investment in key economic sectors has declined. These obstacles include administrative barriers, inadequate legal protection, political instability, and limited access to infrastructure. Recommendations are proposed for improving the investment climate through a comprehensive approach combining tax incentives with institutional reforms. The agriculture and manufacturing sectors receive particular attention as they exhibit the most significant downturn, necessitating increased government assistance and intervention.
