Three-mass mechanorheological model of the process of vibrational separation of mineral raw materials

Introduction. To date, a large volume of research has been carried out aimed at further development of the processes of vibration movement, transportation and separation of various bulk media. Mechanorheological models are widely used. The article presents the results of studies aimed at improving the accuracy and reliability of mathematical models describing the interaction of bulk material with the separator vibrating organ. Materials and Methods. The most advanced two-mass mechanorheological model of the process of mineral raw material particle motion along the separator vibrating organ was adopted as the initial model. The operation of this model was analyzed and the limitations associated with its mechanorheological scheme were assessed. Theoretical studies were performed to analyze the operation of the initial model and a more advanced model was proposed that eliminates the existing limitations. Results and discussion. The mechanics of operation and advantages of the proposed improved model are considered, and a mathematical description of the model of the vibration process under consideration is presented. It is shown that the developed mechanorheological model allows describing the dynamics of ore material particle motion along the separator working organ at a higher quality level. The second elastic-viscous block with an inertial element was added to the initial model. This made it possible to separate both bodies (particle and vibrating organ) into the model at the stage of contact interaction with the separator vibrating organ. Resume. As a result of the mathematical modeling, it was possible to describe the elastic deformations of the particle and the working surface of the organ separately, and therefore more accurately and reliably. Suggestions for practical applications and directions for future research. The data obtained from the conducted studies can be used when using vibration separators in enrichment processes to improve their efficiency.
