Design and Implementation Errors in Cogeneration Units

The influence of design and construction errors in cogeneration units in particular the connection of the neutral points of the generator and transformer windings star on the occurrence of disturbances in their operation and failures have been discussed. The specific development of the arc fault at the block circuit breaker connections to the busbars and the circuit breaker damage have been analyzed. Moreover, an example of the occurrence and development of a busbar failure resulting from design and construction errors during the construction of the cogeneration unit has been explained.
