EDUTAINMENT AS A NEW FORM OF GLOBAL PEDAGOGICAL DISCOURSE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF TEACHING CHESS)
In the context of globalization and digitalization accompanying it, modern pedagogical discourse is in the state of transformation into edutainment, a pedagogical practice that includes entertainment and simplification as integral elements. The article attempts to identify the features of the relevant discourse and its differences from traditional forms of institutional communication based on the material of English-language YouTube broadcasts devoted to the topic of learning the game of chess. It is established that edutainment is a communicative space in which the system-forming role is played by language games, both in their broad, Wittgenstein understanding and narrow, purely linguistic interpretation. Another feature of edutainment, arising from its polythematism, are interdiscursive inclusions. Further research in the field of tainment discourses is designed to reveal the nature of modern communicative trends, in connection with which it is possible to form a new field of linguistic knowledge - tainment linguistics.
