ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS' READINESS TO APPLY INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES IN THEIR PROFESSIONAL ENDEAVORS

The rapidly developing world assumes that professionals in the English language teaching sector are expected to perform innovative behaviour to keep up with the modern and fast developing world. The aim of the study was to understand the readiness of English language teachers in Belarus to apply innovative digital tools in their professional endeavors. In 2022, 106 English teachers with Belarusian background took part in a survey, and 10 interviews with English teachers of different forms of employment and various teaching experience were held. Their results show that most English language teachers in Belarus are ready to use innovative digital technologies in their work. The obtained results are significant for further research in the field of investigating application of innovative technologies in English language teaching.
