The calanoid copepod Arctodiaptomus byzantinus Mann, 1940 (Copepoda: Calanoida: Diaptomidae) is recorded for the first time from the East European Plain (Middle Volga Region, Russia), and A. similis (Baird, 1859) is found in Darkhat Hollow (Mongolia).
