THE SPECIFICS OF THE ALTAI WOMAN'S WORLD REPRESENTATION IN I. MUROMTSEVA'S DOCUMENTARY “WOMEN OF ALTAI” (2022)
The purpose of this article is to identify the mechanisms and specifics of constructing images of the Altai women's world in modern popular culture. The methodological basis of the work is the approaches to the study of cinema formed within the framework of Cinema Studies, the principles of studying cinema in the logic of postcolonial theory, as well as the theoretical and methodological tools of ethnosophy. Of particular interest is the combination of two discourses in this film: the stories of the female characters, and the director's view structuring these stories for perception by viewers from other regions. Such issues as ways to represent strategies for building identity, life trajectories and determining criteria for life success, the socio-cultural significance of work, a sense of belonging and marginality, and the clash and contact of cultures are considered.
