REPRESENTATION OF THE CONCEPT FEAR BASED ON ENGLISH PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS
Fear is one of the basic human emotions. Since the emotion of fear is universal, it is represented in every language world view. People's perceptions of fear are diverse, so it can be argued that the verbalization of the FEAR concept in linguocultures is different. In this article the author analyzes the representation of the FEAR concept based on English phraseological units. The paper focuses on examples of phraseological expressions verbalizing the studied concept. The division of phraseological phrases into seven semantic groups is proposed. The author concludes that the FEAR concept is widely represented in English phraseological units, and the most represented are phraseological expressions describing the external and internal state of a frightened person.
