LINGUISTIC MEANS OF REPRESENTING THE IMAGE OF THE ENEMY IN THE IRANIAN MEDIA

The article examines the use of the image of the enemy in the Iranian media in the modern period based on the texts of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) devoted to the aggravation of the Iran-Israeli conflict in April 2024. As a result of the study, it was found that the image of the enemy is created due to a significant number of lexemes with a sharply negative evaluative connotation through the binary opposition “friend-or-foe”, as well as techniques of demonization and humiliation of the enemy.
