COMUNICAÇÃO ENFERMEIRO - FAMÍLIA NO PROCESSO DE DOAÇÃO DE ÓRGÃOS: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Introduction: Communication with the family of a potential organ and tissue donor, particularly during the family interview process, is essential for informed decision-making. However, it is a delicate process, as families are approached during a time of emotional vulnerability, sadness, and grief, regarding the possibility of donation. Objectives: The aim is to explore the strategies used by nurses in communicating with the family of a potential organ donor during the family interview, as well as to highlight and discuss the key findings. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, built through the analysis of articles indexed in online databases and journals such as Google Scholar and Scielo. Results: The findings show that nurses' strategies are based on managing the difficult situations encountered during the family interview. Conclusion: Literature on the understanding and behavior of nurses who are members of the Notification, Capture, and Distribution Center of Organs (CIHDOTT) or the Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) during the family interview is scarce, despite the undeniable obstacles they face.
