Types of family aggressors: theoretical variables and empirical results

The present study aimed to collect and analyze perceptions of the educational component of an integrative intervention program to reduce aggression in men convicted of domestic violence. The study was attended by 21 people, aged between 20 and 45 years (M=2.81 and AS.= 1.167), men convicted of various VD crimes, according to the Romanian Penal Code. Considering the objective of the study, the selected research method is the grounded theory (empirical) method. The study took place in two stages: the first stage consisted of a qualitative focus-group approach, and the second stage consisted of a face-to-face interview with each participant. The results of the interviews allowed the identification of major, interconnected themes of interest. The obtained results are discussed based on the specialized literature.
