Exploration and Functional Optimization of a Multi-functional Guidance Cap
With continuous innovations in real-time positioning and navigation systems, their applications are expanding. Through field surveys and a review of international literature, it has been found that there exists a significant research gap in the field of multi-functional guidance caps. The guidance cap is a modern technology-based equipment designed to assist the navigation of visually impaired individuals, aiming to address navigation difficulties and safety hazards encountered in daily life. This study explores the operational principles of a guidance cap utilizing GPS positioning and OpenCV image recognition. It provides a detailed overview of the main features and functionalities of the guidance cap, including GPS positioning, map navigation, directional indicators, obstacle detection, and adaptability across multiple scenarios. The research introduces the system design of the guidance cap and outlines the programming of relevant code, while also identifying challenges and potential directions for improvement.
