A Research on UX Design Education using Figma : Focusing on Prototyping for Implementation of Parallax Web

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an NCS-based UX design education program focused on parallax web implementation using Figma. With the growing importance of User Experience (UX) in the era of digital technology, this research emphasizes enhancing students' creativity and practical skills through the learning of parallax web design techniques that enhance user engagement. Conducted over 15 weeks, the program included systematic learning activities such as storyboard creation, aesthetic component design, prototyping, usability testing, and iterative improvements. Utilizing Figma’s collaboration features and prototyping tools, students effectively acquired skills in parallax web implementation and user-centered design. The results showed that students successfully implemented the parallax effect and motion-specific features by integrating user feedback through iterative refinement and creative design. They demonstrated high levels of satisfaction with the program and developed advanced design capabilities that transcend static web design, enhancing user engagement and experience. However, the study’s limitations include insufficient usability testing and the lack of comparative analysis with other prototyping tools. Future research should incorporate advanced dynamic design techniques and conduct comprehensive usability evaluations to address these gaps. This study highlights the potential of practice-based UX design education and provides a roadmap for advancing digital design education.
