A Study on the Characteristics of Digital Convergence Exhibitions in Contemporary Museum Exhibition Spaces

This study analyzes the impact of digital technology convergence on visitor experience and exhibition space design in contemporary museums. Digital technology in exhibitions must move beyond visual novelty to offer creative and immersive experiences, establishing new artistic paradigms. The research analyzed four immersive exhibition cases. These examples highlight key features of digital convergence exhibitions: immersion, interactivity, adaptability, scalability, and multi-sensory engagement. The findings show that such exhibitions break boundaries between physical and virtual spaces, enhancing visitor experiences through interactivity and real-time adaptability. AI and data visualization technologies further enable dynamic, evolving exhibitions, surpassing the limitations of traditional static displays.
