A study on General hospital mobile app GUI usability : focusing on the case of a general hospital in the Chungcheongnam-do

This study is a preliminary conducted to find ways to improve the usability of the GUI of general hospital mobile apps that are being applied without evaluation usability. GUI components were classified and usability evaluation items were derived to match the affordance. Based on this, the mobile apps of three general hospitals in Chungnam were evaluated and the current status was analyzed by comparing them with the importance. According to the results of the study, the average importance was generally high at over 4.0, except for one item, the aesthetics of icons, and efficiency was derived as the item with the highest importance in all types. Case 1 showed low results overall in all items. Case 2 had relatively low efficiency scores in color and typography. Case 3 had relatively low evaluation results in the aesthetics of icons, efficiency of color, and visibility of typography. These results were able to identify practical items for convenience and identify clear points of improvement based on usability relationships through diagrams.
