A Numerical Study of Oblique Stagnation Point Flow of Ternary Nanofluid over a Stretching Sheet

A mathematical model has been developed to investigate the heat transfer enhancement due to the ternary nanofluid (Cu/Fe3O4/SiO2-Polymer) flow past a stretching sheet. A time-independent two-dimensional oblique stagnation-point flow was considered. The governing equations for the conversion of mass, momentum and energy along with the boundary conditions were transformed into dimensionless equations using relevant non-dimensional variables. The obtained set of equations was reduced to ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations. A numerical technique was used to find the solution and validate the attained results with the existing literature in a limiting case. The solutions were presented graphically for fluid velocity and temperature for various volume fractions of the nanoparticles. The results were analysed for different cases of nanofluid, hybrid nanofluid and ternary nanofluid.
