Large Language Model for Financial Insights: Building a Digest to Simplify Research Activities

The world is drowning in various types of data. Every day, researchers and professionals are bombarded with a torrent of news, reports, and academic papers – far too much for anyone to process manually. This information overload makes it incredibly challenging to stay ahead of the curve and identify emerging trends in finance. Finance is the field of study that we are going to focus on in this article. This research introduces a solution: AI Digest, an automated service powered by Google's Gemini large language model (LLM). We demonstrate how AI Digest can effortlessly walk through this large flow of articles and scientific papers, extracting key insights and trends from vast quantities of financial text. Imagine if you have a tireless research assistant who can summarize hundreds of articles, pinpoint emerging patterns, and present it all in a concise, digestible report. That's precisely what AI Digest aims to achieve. Our study describes the development and architecture of AI Digest, showcasing its ability to summarize large amounts of text and identify valuable insights. We highlight the advantages of using LLMs for analysis articles, and how LLM can not only save significant time but also uncover hidden trends. Furthermore, we provide a glimpse into the future of modern LLM and NLP (Natural language processing) models, and how they are slowly integrating in our daily routine.
